Hey, I’m Halee! I married the love of my life and greatest supporter, Blake, in July of 2008. We were blessed with our daughter, Bostyn (“Bo”), in March of 2014 (no, we didn’t name her after the city or band, haha). We are adding a precious little boy to our family by March of this year, and we couldn’t be more excited! I am based in Kokomo, Indiana (near Indy). I love Jesus, being a mom, constantly photographing our daughter and remodeling our super old/historic home in our spare time.

I am a natural light photographer specializing in lifestyle and wedding photography. I didn’t know I was going to be a photographer until, well, I just became one! I have been drawn to the arts my entire life, but I didn’t choose to follow what I was passionate about at first. With encouragement from my husband I pursued this adventure in 2011 and began full time in 2014 after Bo was born. I can’t imagine doing anything else, honestly. I *love* traveling and this job has allowed me to explore so many amazing new places while meeting so many amazing new people.
I primarily shoot film nowadays (I shoot both digital and film still at weddings). To me film is just more authentic and true-to- life. I never would have thought in a million years I’d be loading up an old camera with rolls of film, but I feel like this is where I’m able to express how I see the world best.
I shoot with a Mamiya645afd, a Pentax645n, a Contax 645 and a Nikon F100! When I am shooting digital, I’m a Nikon girl and shoot with a D800 usually. I adore shooting weddings and all love, but I have to say my favorite type of photography is just capturing a family, in their home, simply *being.* Real, everyday life. Can’t beat it.
I do this because I love being creative, I love art, and I love photography. I feel truly blessed to be able to help document important moments in others’ lives. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and with my help, people are able to tell their specific story for years to come. That’s pretty cool.
