The Phillips Family: Lifestyle

I recently posted about traveling to St. Louis to photograph another photographer’s family, but I also had the unbelievable opportunity to photograph Crystal Phillips of Crystal Phillips Photography and her family, too, while going through Illinois. I arrived JUST as an ice storm was getting pretty nasty…but it was totally, totally worth it (see the end of the blog!).

Crystal is simply one-of-a-kind; she’s one of the most genuine people you will ever meet, and she is someone that is considered a great friend by *so* many. Meeting her was everything I expected and more. Her adorable family was so welcoming, and we had such a blast.

2016-01-15_0003.jpgI walked into Liam’s room, and he was waiting for me just like he is in the photo below, left. Its one of my favorites of the session. 🙂

2016-01-15_0004.jpgI am quite obsessed with this photo below. If film is accidentally exposed to light before developing “light leaks” occur, and they can often ruin images. I opened my camera back slightly, but instead of the frame being ruined, this ended up being so beautiful.2016-01-15_00212016-01-15_0010.jpg

  • Crystal - I have SO much to say, but for now, I just keep hearing Piper say, ‘Hay-wee is my Bets Friend.’ You had been here for about 3 minutes. She fell hard and fast for you, and you got some magic out of it. 🙂ReplyCancel
